The most extreme case of exotic building material occurs when the whole building is brought straight from its home country to another, and gets installed thousands of miles away: the Egyptian Temple of Debod was given as a present to Spain by Egipt, as a sign of gratitude for helping save the Abu Simbel temples in 1968, during the construction of the Aswuan High Dam.
