1- Food, agriculture, cultive of beans, sugar cane and soy. In Curitiba there are large numbers of species of the araucaria angustifola. Its fruit is the pinion, in the months of May and June, the autumn of the southern hemisphere, the pinnacles of the Araucaria grow and thus dissipate its fruits. The pinion has a characteristic taste and is much appreciated in the south of Brazil, which is the symbol of the paraná state. It can be consumed pure, in the soup or in sweets. In ancient times the consumption of pinion was intended for Indians and wild animals as a food supplement for winter, nowadays, in some regions and periods of the year their collection is prohibited in order not to prejudice the perpetuation of this animals. 2- In Curitiba there is a great concern with the quality of life of the environment, which reflects in a policy of adoption of green areas in the urban environment, which aims at ecological, economic and social benefits, guaranteeing a healthy coexistence between the inhabitants and their urban area. Most of these green areas have environmental preservation and sanitation, maintaining the permeability of the soil next to rivers, ciliary forest, fauna and flora. 3- The botanical garden of Curitiba has large areas of vegetation and native fauna of Paraná, in addition to plants characteristic of the fores Atlantica Brasileira. Some native Are: Araucaria, Aroeira, Pimenteira, Pitangueira, Cedro and Insuia. Native species of fauna: Opossum, Tatu, Preá, Cutia, João de Barro, Bem-te-vi, Sabiá Laranja and Gralha-piçaca. 4- The city of Curitiba has an eclectic culture, influenced by diverse immigrants, we have diverse cultural parks, woods with German and Polish memorials and also the museum of the eye, designed by Oscar Niemayer.
