1. How would you define livability? I would say livability is litteral what it stands for, life + ability, understood as the ability of the city to be elastic enough to every needs of people life. Every “specialization” in one direction respect another can for sure offer more comfort using that activity but will not rise up the level of livability. So the ability of the city to offer much more answer possible to the needs of citizen. 2. If you need to define livability with the following terms, how would you rank them? Environment Health Opprtunity Transportation Housing Engagement Neighborhood 3. Choose three cities in the United States (preferable cities in different states) and go to the following webpage: https://livabilityindex.aarp.org. Search for the chosen cities at the livability index. San Diego, California Livability score 53 Memphis, Tennessee Livability score 46 Portland, Oregon Livability score 61 6. Can you explain the change in livability scores of your cities? Do this on a basis of the terms in your ranking (e.g. Transport is very important to me. When I customized the term Transportation at the Livability index into a higher importance, the total livability score went down. This means that...). Putting “Environment” as higher priority all of three of the cities choosen registered strongly lower values, especially for Portland, Oregon with a minus 34, impressive. That means that none of the cities has satisfying environment related skills. So in the summa that low value was mitigated by the others but once highlighted alone shows up all the weakness for the environment points.
