The building on the photo is the „Burj Khalifa“, the tallest building in the world. It´s cladding is made of roughly 28,000 prefabricated panels of double-layer glass set within extruded aluminum frames. The panels were made by a Hong-Kong based Company in China and brought to Dubai for final assembly. A lot of products that we use nowadays are fabricated in China as they produce inexpensive, even for construction, companies order materials and components in huge amounts and for huge projects in China, which we can see on this example. Unfortunately in China the production process of goods is not underlying as strict rules as in other countries e.g. environmental protection. This is one of the reasons for inexpensive production. Production in China is less expensive then in other parts of the world also because the companies often do not have to pay that much in environmental protection or social care, though China is already working on it.
