The picture shows a part of the house of my grandparents in Bielefeld, Germany. The house was built in the 1960s and back then they already used Indian Mahagoni, which is a tropical wood, for all the window frames of their house. This shows how globalized construction trade was already 50 years ago. Tropical wood is still a quite often used construction material in Germany.
