-Place Enning Road Historic District/Liwan District/Guangzhou/Guangdong Province/China -Description Enning Road is a historic hyper-density district situated in in Guangzhou, China.  This area once witnessed its prosperity hundred years ago. When urbanization stretched out Guangzhou, the electricity infrastructure and Internet infrastructure crawled up these buildings and exposed outside. -Impact The impact is a two-sided sword. The electricity and Internet have greatly improved people's life, while the infrastructure left a threat to this district.  Because this district is a cultural relics conservation area, the government has not decided whether propose an infrastructure upgrade project yet. However, fire accident and electric leakage are always visiting this area due to the cobweb-like infrastructure. -Thinking To me, the future cities also contain the historic districts. They are not brand new. Urbanization is clearly happening here and the surroundings. However, the infrastructure still can not satisfy contemporary function well because of the historic context. We should pay more attention to them.
