FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"
Uploaded on 2017-02-19 by Pablo Barragan
Visible: Building heights, building materials, street dimensions, street materials, climate, demographics, pedestrian street, ground floor use, distant landscape. Invisible: Mobility patterns and Connections. Mobility patterns: It is important to analyze and map the mobility patterns suggested by the users of this commercial area since it can give us clear information on the interaction between pedestrians and cars. Since this area is half pedestrian and half for the car, it is important to understand the interactions in order to design an optimum shared space. At some hours of the day the pedestrian street is not full of people, one solution by mapping mobility patterns can be the access of the car to this area at certain hours of the day.
