It is your task to create a new policy in order to improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy of your country. How would you do that? Think of how you can improve the sources and the consumption of energy. I would first restrict the oil extraction on the Amazonas, the last years this has cause the loss of hundreds of thousands of square meters of protected forest. I would also promote the use of solar panels in the city, we have a strategic position on the world, and we are in the middle of it so the sun functions as the perfect source for eco-friendly energy. Also, we do not have policies or motivation for the use of hybrid cars, or electrical ones. I would propose the change to clean energy the public transportation. In Quito theres is already a rent bike public service, I would do it bigger, with better bikes and increase the number of roads for them, making them safer. Finally, I would indicate a really strong campaign to promote Recycling. In Quito there is not policies for recycling things, like plastics or organic waste.
