Name: Tri Emil Alim Country: Indonesia City: North Jakarta Taken: Tuesday, January 24 2017, 3.34 PM I took this photo when I'm on an airplane from Makassar to Jakarta. The photo highlight a complex intersection of toll road and it's surrounding. I don't really know this place because I live and grew in the central Jakarta, and Jakarta is a huge city. I can extract two invisible information in this photo: 1. There is a little traffic build up in the intersection. Because the picture taken on a non-rush-hour time, it means that the traffic will be worse on the rush hour. 2. There are houses in the bottom left of the photo that has a very high land value because they have very good road access and they even have a golf area nearby. I will pick the number one information that I think have a valuable information/knowledge that can contribute for the planning of the area. The fact that the traffic already building up even in the non-rush-hour time, means that the toll booth having a hard time to keep up with the demand. It means that the solution is to make a faster service on the toll booth. It can achieved by using a computerized system, like using a censor to identify the car so the payment is automatic so there's no reason to hit the break. Jakarta already trying this system using OBU (On Board Unit) that will use NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, so people doesn't have to bring their card and/or cash to pass the toll both.
