The visible information in this photo shows that there has been a large amount of space dedicated to the automobile, and less space dedicated to the pedestrian. There is a long distance for the pedestrians to cross in order to get to the opposite side of the road. The invisible information that we can garner from this photo is that the pedestrians likely feel uncomfortable in this situation, and may even fear crossing the road here. In order to ease the anxiety of the pedestrians, we could create bulb-outs or narrow the vehicular travel lanes.
