The Photo was taken by me from Brancastello Mountain in the Gran Sasso National Park (Abruzzo, Italy) and shows the Teramo Province landscape. Colline Teramane (Teramo Hills) has become a trademark and are one of the most significant areas where extra virgin olive oil and Abruzzo wines are produced. But what can be seen very well is the highway. View form long distance, the visual impacts likely to occur as a result of liner infrastructure seems to be not so identifiable. The highway seems to be integrated within the surrounding area. Nevertheless, many effects remain unquantified, and must become the focus of studies because the complexity and interactions among the effects of roads and traffic are large and potentially unexpected (ecosystem-level effects of roads).
