Please note the image is from the internet and does not belong to me. The image above shows the original Yankee Stadium (left) during the construction of the new Yankee Stadium (right). The original Yankee Stadium was an iconic stadium, and in keeping with this legacy, the designers of the new building, which was opened in 2009, brought in high-quality materials from across the world to create the new structure. Illustrated in glass, steel and limestone, the ballparkās skin is highlighted by a four-story limestone and granite facade inspired by the 1923 Bronx Stadium. The limestone used in this production was sourced in Indiana while the granite came from Maine. The steel was produced by a Chinese firm. These are but a few examples of the widely sourced materials that make up of New York's grandest new constructions of the last decade.
