I am from Brazil but this picture I took in Abu Dhabi, UAE. I guess this is a clearly example of globalized economy from the design of the buildings to some construction materials and workforce. As we know the glass facade is a popular element in western buildings that represent modernity but the glass doesn't work properly in hot climates since it increases heat inside the building, so its is an imported and not sustainable solution to hot/desert climates.
