This is the Tsvetnoy Central Market building, designed by Russian architectural bureau Project Meganom. It is a suitable example of a building that contains components of a globalized economy. Here are several reasons that I found to prove that: - A role model for this building and for the whole idea was the way such marketplaces are constructed in Western Europe: before making their first conceps, architects were visiting Berlin in order to understand how local stores are functioning, and now many people also say that Tsvetnoy feels like it is located in London - The front of a building is made of Italian travertine that cannot be made in Russia in the first place. It makes the building and the experience of visiting the place unique - There are a lot of embellishments both inside and outside of the building that are made of foreign materials to show people that they can buy different things from different places. For example, advertisement slogans made of Zinger sewing-machine parts, oriental pieces of scenery and so on.
