The photo is taken in Russia, Moscow 1. Visible information: - The weather at the exact time at which the photo was taken (4:15 pm, February 7, 2017) - The amount of cars at the crossroads, their characteristics - The number of pedestrians on the streets, their appearance, how they are dressed - Architecture - exact buildings at the exact place, their type, dimensions, intended use, color and other characteristics - Traffic lights signals - Road signs, their characteristics, placement - The amount of snow on the streets and roofs of the buildings - The quality of roads, their type, their width - Is it clean on the streets or not 2. Invisible information a) The amount of traffic at peak hours and the average delay because of the traffic jams b) The amount of sunlight during the day in the beginning of February 3. Case -> how invisible information can become knowledge and contribute to the planning of a more livable urban space. Let us take the amount of sunlight during the day in the beginning of February: it can help us calculate if it would be possible and profitable to install solar panels to extract energy from the sunlight for the needs of the city or the particular building. To make this decision we will also have to consider other information, such as the amount and type of fall-outs, construction of the buildings to see if they are suitable for solar panels instalments, etc. All this information combined and analysed will provide us with the necessary knowledge about energy consumption in certain area and how we can meet energy requirements while using more clean energy.
