In the picture of Paris, once again, we can see the impact of water, transportation and energy on the urban form. Firstly, referring to water. A city cannot be a city without water, as previously discussed. In Paris, it seems that the urban form has been designed around the water and that the water was not a "by product" of the urban system. Secondly, transportation. A city would not be efficient if it was extremely difficult to get around. Transportation is a massive factor that could have an impact of many things, such as economy for example. Once again, transportation, in this instance streets and water ways, seem to form the urban system. Lastly, energy. Although it may not seem to be a big forming factor in this urban system, without energy no forming would take place (energy in terms of electricity, fuel, heat, etc.)
