Taken on a recent trip to Barcelona (December 2016) I enjoy how this photo contrasts between the gothic architecture that has dominated the Catalonia region of Spain and the avantgrand of modern architecture for which has produced a such a vibrant city. The way in which the the modern architecture has adapted from its archeological roots to produce a city viable and livable for the future.
