The five most livable cities I have been in are 1) Seattle 2) Sydney 3) Berlin 4) Chicago and 5) Perth. The five most important aspects of a livable city are 1) Public Space 2) Environmental Features 3) Walkability 4) Transit 5) Economic Opportunity Orlando could engage it's water features and lakes more as a public resource. There are some examples of good utilization here, but a lot are bordered by highways. Improving mass transit is a key, hopefully the airport connection will be coming in the future. And global city MUST have transit connection from it's airport. The pedestrian deaths are the third highest in the country per automotive crashes--walkable and human scaled streets could help here.
