The most livable cities for me are as follows 1. Melbourne, Australia 2. Hamburg, Germany 3. Helsinki, Finland 4. Calgary, Canada 5. Toronto, Canada In my opinion, the five characteristics that would make a city livable is its effective transportation, competitiveness in the global market, being unpolluted, housing standards, and its people. Metro Manila, the collection of the cities in the National Capital Region, contributes a lot in terms of the GDP of the whole country. If I am going t evaluate this metropolis, I would say that it is livable by my standards. First, the metropolitan area has a bad transportation system due to the overpopulation of the city, but right now, there is a lot of construction of train routes and highways will soon help the city to breathe and bring people in and out of the city. Second, the Philippines is a globally competitive country, thanks to its metropolitan cities. Third, the metropolitan may be polluted but over the past years, the steady rise or improvement of pollution conditions has been a proof of the progressing life in the city, just like all cities, it has a dark and dirty past. Fourth, the housing standards in the metropolis is improving, housing in the city or means of living inside the city has been helping people to bloom and house them, thus, people being more productive. Lastly, the people of the metropolis makes this urban center alive and breathing, from being fun people, to being talented and globally competitive, people living in here strives hard to help improve the conditions of the city for its future.
