As you can see in the attached picture, Makati City as well as other major central business districts in the Philippines rely on electricity to run. The sources of the country's energy comes from different origins like coal, hydro, and much more. The Philippines have many high-rises/ skyscrapers, and powering these towers require energy to run, most of these buildings rely on cooling systems dependent on energy, also the need for lighting at night since the country is the second in the world when it comes to the BPO industry (an example would be call-centers at night) and needs a lot of energy even at night. Metro Manila is situated beside the sea and water distribution is a vital part of the progress and life of the city. Transportation plays a crucial role in the life of the city since a lot of people commute in and out of the city, right now, Metro Manila is experiencing horrendous traffic conditions because of poor transportation systems present. The booming train lines construction right now in Metro Manila connecting cities and also the provinces shows that the city, without proper transportation is in the verge of collapsing.
