Stocks and flows in my city: - density - information - energy Information or examples: - density: the city is continuously growing and changing its shape. The city has increased in 7% its inhabitants in the last 10 years. - information: interchange of information is constantly happening in the city. Think only on the amount of working meeting taking place in different parts of the city every day in order to exchange information. - energy: energy is used day and night. Energy is constantly flowing. Light, heat in the winter, cooling in the summer, computers, etc. changes for benefit: - density: densify existing areas instead of growing with new residential areas would benefit the traffic in the city. - information: better public transport would enormously benefit the city, reduce traffic and pollution for the same number of information transfer. - energy: better passive and active construction ways would decrease the need for energy in the city and therefor reduce energy flows.
