FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"
Uploaded on 2017-01-11 by Pinhan Zhao
This picture was taken last year after rain by myself. We can extract these invisible information: - Brightness around the road - Traffic flow As you can see, the road is very dark but street lights aren't open. This is mainly because the sky after rain is darker than usual. In Beijing, however, street lights are controlled by time. In fact, that is really not a humanized design. Actually, we can get the real-time brightness data through the camera, and automatically control the street light turn on or turn off. It can provide more convenience and reduce the number of traffic accidents. In addition, it can also reduce labor costs and unnecessary use of electricity.
