The dominant fossil fuel used in Brazil is oil, which is mainly used for transport. To improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy in Brazil, I would continue investing on biofuels and recycled waste (the present second major energy source in Brazil, as can be seen in the Sankey Diagram) and I would increase researching and investing on other Brazilian potentials, as solar, wind and ocean energy. Since transportation is the major Brazilian oil consumer, I would increase investing on topics as electric vehicles, cycling infrastructure and intermodal passenger transport (as can be seen at the Madrid’s photo).
