It is no surprise that a city as big as London is very dependent on infrastructure. In this photo, public transportation can be seen on the bridge. City buses convert fuel into electricity to power payment systems and overhead intercom speakers. Electric street lights can be seen on the bridge and along the river. The dock has been designed to accommodate barges and other boats. It is worthwhile to note that the boats all must be shorter than the openings of the bridges, as they do not open up. In the future, perhaps the water can be used for storing of excess electrical energy. Maybe transportation systems will not have to convert other energy into electricity. The future city of London will no doubt be built on more sustainable infrastructure.
