Uploaded on 2016-12-29 by Jonny Quintero
1. This is a city near the water, it could be a river or the sea, and there is some touristic activity because there are recreation boats. There is not a large population because you do not see important heights in constructions nor significant density. There is not traffic, maybe because this was taken on weekend morning. This town does not look too developed; it could be a suburb close to any city. It seems a calm and peaceful place, very proper for families and old people. You do not see people on the streets or even moving around the stores. 2. If this town is really close to an important city, it has a huge potential for being densified and developed, for sure you can get good prices for the land and still having good infrastructure. This town needs more dynamism; it needs to increase the commercial areas, in order to get a better offer and attract people to enjoy their town. It needs more effective public spaces, take advantage of the beautiful landscapes and the water, to build parks that make the town friendlier to the citizens and more accessible to pedestrians. 3. They can measure how the commercial activity has been moving in a specific period of time (couple years for example), they can try to find out information about number of costumers seasonally, about what people is looking for when they come, if they find what they´re looking for or not, about what the sellers are offering, about what activities could the city offers in the water front, etc. They can use the information to know the zone´s potential and make urban decisions according to that potential. Urban decisions such as set the deficit of public space, and make a project to solve it; implementing politics in order to increases the commercial activity and offer. They can make this place a very attractive site for tourism and recreation, getting as result an improvement of the economy.
