This picture was a new housing project nearby National University of Singapore in March 2016 Housing projects in Singapore are provided by the government. Due to limited area, residents usually live in high-rise buildings and share common resources with neighbors. In this way, housing project consume less energy but create challenges in management. Housing are coupled with the public transport so it reduces usages of private cars. Housing has a great impact on how people live and interact with others. In order to make sustainable urban systems, it need to be designed and planned based on data and simulation, in which urban development authority spent a great deal of effort and time to do that. Good housing infrastructure help improve the quality of life among citizen. I think we should consider people, space and time dimensions in order to create a connected and resilient society.
