FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"
Uploaded on 2016-12-21 by Brandon Snider
This pic is of the many one-level surface parking lots in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. What's made visible is a complete disregard of human scale design. There are more parking lots than buildings—or anything else—in what should be the most sought after real-estate in the city. Upon closer inspection, it become clear that cars and capital are preferred over people, as the central part of the city is missing bike lanes, parks, healthy food options, integrative housing options, and overall humanity given the large and ever increasing homeless population seen in contrast to a few high-rise condo developments near the river.
