Prince Mahidol Hall is a newly built concert hall located at Mahidol University in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand. The structure is made of mostly of concrete and steels. Even though Thailand has the steel industry for domestic and export, the raw materials need to be imported. The modern design and construction technique of the building require knowledge outside the country. The design reflects the adaptation of Thai-style architecture in the modern-style form. I don’t think that the university consider much about the carbon footprint in construction process. This building includes an energy saving technology for lighting and temperature control system.
