This photo shows the outer line of a new neighborhood in the north-east part of Hod Hasharon (temporarily called "Area 1200"). It is an area composed of a series of 15-20 residential highrises of 12-20 stories each, and is de-facto a stand along settlement only nominally a part of the town. The main infrastructure resource at play here is transportation. The new neighborhood has only 2 road leading in and out of it, both of them a single-lane road connected via a roundabout to a minor urban street. The neighborhoods, currently nearing construction and only partially populated, are beginning to feel the pressures of inadequate planning, which will be further increased once the population of roughly 8-10 thousand people move in. (To add complications, there are no commercial facilities in the area, and the inhabitants are forced to travel outside of the area to the town or inter-city shopping areas for even the smallest need).
