In the photo you can see Nova Iguaçu main Avenue called "Via Light". "Light" is the name of the energy company responsible for the transmittion of energy in Brazil. Nova Iguaçu is a neighbour city to Rio de Janeiro, so most of the energy transmitted by these structures aren't even to Nova Iguaçu City. The road divides the city in two parts and as you can see in the photo pedestrians are'nt welcome to that place which makes the travessy even more dangerous. Note: That photo was taken from Google Street View because the day i went there it was raining a lot and it's not so close to where i live, although it's an area i often visit.
