I’m talking about Cairo in Egypt. The next three stocks are what I think must be considered when we study the design of Cairo … • Traffic: Actually you can find cars everywhere in Cairo which affect directly streets that are suffering to face such as these numbers. • Population: Every morning huge number of people leaves their villages and towns choosing Cairo as their destination and they back every evening. • Air Pollution: One of the most important stock that we have consider because it reach the up normal limits which attack people health and life in both of present and future. We can shortly diagram the concept of these stocks like this figure … When we are talking about future we have to reorganize these diagrams to reach the maximum results of benefits in the city. Let’s talk about the steps in comprehensive way … You have to think about changing the system of transportation from private and single to Mass and Public Transit. Imagine the numbers of cars, amounts of petrol and amounts of CO2 emissions that will be reduced and decreased by this solution. In the other hand what about transferring government buildings and factories outside the city in new extension for example. In Cairo you will find factories in between residential buildings which lead to density concentration in these areas which lead to Traffic Jam and sequentially to Pollution. By the solution that I mentioned about transferring government buildings and factories in new city and make Mass Transit between the city and new extension huge numbers of cars and people will change their destination to new cities and contribute in reducing Traffic Jam and Pollution inside the city.
