As we see it's Al Hamra Tower which became the icon of Kuwait City. Actually there are huge difference between Kuwait local materials and the materials used in this tower (the most nowadays towers in common). Curtain wall facade isn't a recommended material here in Gulf region due to many reasons like sun rays, traditions, heats … etc. but as we see many buildings here are using these materials as a result of globalization and open market that affects all constructions and buildings in the whole region. Just take minutes searching for traditional architecture in the gulf region you will find the opposite of what Al Hamra Tower (or Burg Khalifa) looks like.
