The most important stocks and flows of Brno (Czech Republic) are: 1/ People (students) - Brno is called the city of students. Every year come more than 80 000 people to Brno in order to study on the Universities (most of them) or high schools. Brno has about 380 000 citizens these days (2016) which means that every semester the number of citizens here increases by more than 20 %. The city benefits from this fact especially because of the fact that a big part of these students stay and live here. This fact means that Brno has more citizens with university degree than any other city in the Czech Republic. 2/ Buldings - The real estate market is experiencing huge boom of demand for new flats (especially 2+kk flats) which means that every year new developers´ projects are forming. This brings lots of benefits for Brno. It gains new modern buildings and citizens as well who are becoming the taxpayers here in Brno and who bring another money to the city treasury. With more tax income, city can fund maintaince and another development of itself. 3/ Information - This element is represented especially by a big amount of Universities, research facilities and libraries. City provides a stable information infrastracture which is growing every year (enclosed picture shows the construction of new research facility in Brno in the technological park). New research facilities, universities and access to the newest technologies provides the technological and economical advantage to the city compared to the rest of the country.
