This building is known as the National Academy for performance Arts. I choose it as the example for the involvement of the globalized economy in building construction as it was the most suited building. Firstly I must make note that it was difficult to determine which material are imported or local within Trinidad as there is a large manufacturing industry within the country that provides material for general construction. NAPA was then an easy selection to show the globalized economy as the clear size and architectural design of the steel component is beyond most local companies. I was unable to determine the exact origin of the material but it is fair to state that it is not local which can be support by the fact that the welding of the steel was done by Shanghai Construction Group.
