Hi! This is Alvaro from PerĂº Here are my answers from this compulsory exercise. 1. Here the temperature oscilates depending on the district so the UHI effects are just as diverse. However, in the hinterlands are more pronounced, that is, it is either hotter or colder. Looking at the UHI effects in american cities, there is not much correlation with peruvian cities. As mentioned in the lecture, the effects depend on its particular location and also the materials used, the distribution and heights of buildings, and the ideal comfort zone of the citizens. 2. If I was ever a major in the district where I live, I would probably demand that all designs go through a test or simulation where the effects of climate could be proven and measures could be taken. No design would be approved if that simulation or evaluations was achieved. 3. Here there are no policies at all about climate and its consequences on human urban life. The focus, sadly, is only construction and corruption. Hopefully the situation will improve as the population becomes more empowered. Regards, Alvaro
