Hi, this is Alvaro, from Lima, Perú. The Livabilty criteria for me goes according to these aspects: 1. Health Care 2. Safety 3. Education 4. Transportation 5. Culture Where I live these criteria is hardly achieved, but I think people is conscious about it and works hard to improve the quality of this place. First, neighbors are great, there is a warm atmosphere. People do count on each other. Traditions are still alive, specially local markets and stores where you feel welcome. This, in contrast with the feeling you get in supermarkets, where you are an object, a target for radical marketing. Then, it reflects the reality and culture of Lima, the best and the worst. Even with its ups and downs, I feel great about the city life here. There are major possibilites for improvement. Since this place is just beginning to grow, there is chance for us neighbors to participate and make decisions. Hence, it's an opportunity to make this place really our own, and not what the government wants it to be. What I need, I can get without travelling long distances. Things are cheaper too. However, this does not affect quality. By living here, I became aware of what I really need, without excess. In contrast of living in other districts, here, I have exactly what I need, nothing fancy. From 1-100, this is the score for my place of residence (district, San Martin de Porres, Lima, Lima, Perú) 1. Health Care - 80/100 2. Safety - 60/100 3. Education - 80/100 4. Transportation - 70/100 5. Culture - 90/100 If I was a major, first, I would improve the security system. Here, even if you have lived for a long time, there's no guarantee of safety. Thieves can take advantage at anytime, just a block away from your house. In order to achieve a better security system, I would gather the community and its social leaders and create an urban patrol, that is, a team made up of regular neighbors, who would develop particular tasks to help the city be safe. Finally, if I was ever to move, I think I could choose one of these five cities/countries: 1. Bhutan 2. Cuzco (Perú) 3. Amsterdam (Netherlands) 4. Tokyo (Japan) 5. Madurai (India) Best regards, Alvaro
