This picture shows a construction site in Sydney. The origin of the materials used in this construction is unknown - it is 'invisible information,' so I am unable to comment on the global aspect of the specific materials used. However, the methods of construction in which metal scaffolding, is a technique which dates back to ancient Greece and is a truly global method of construction. Another element of a global material is the use of concrete. Concrete is a globally recognised material for building and not unique to Australia. Although the specific origin of the concrete is unknown, the technique of using concrete is a global concept.
