1. Project "Urban Pockets Of Belgrade" where I was one of the authors, was probably one of the first public participation projects in Belgrade. http://worldlandscapearchitect.com/student-project-urban-pockets-of-belgrade-belgrade-serbia/#.WC2xFi0rLIV Project was designed to deal with abandoned urban spaces, for their activation and improvement to places for relaxation, socialization, play, public art, on sustainable basis. Project includes local community, which is directly affected by negative influence of urban development. At the same time, goal was also to present all richness of landscape architecture as a profession. As an active member of the project team, I could say that public participation was dynamic and hard , because it was held face to face, letting a group of residents comment on variants of design. No matter how hard communication between us was, the result was always satisfying for both sides. In the 2009. smart phones were not so common, so this form of communication was the only way of collaboration. Nowadays, we could use mobility apps, citizen research trough notes and photography, social network commenting etc., so we could include public participation even more. 2. 1.Survey: demographic (age, gender and social structure) with questioner 2. Survey: walking patterns -durability, intensity, usage(dog walking, going to the shop etc.) in night and day. All of this can be done by mobility apps, observing and questionnaires 3. Survey results and planning of future project: meeting of resident and designers to present research results and conclusions. Next meeting would be a workshop how to solve problems, design and future maintenance plan. 4. Design concept: Presentations of design concepts, and voting for the best one. 5. Implementation.
