The green roof is one idea used here in Brazil, the principal benefits are: * Reduce heating; * Reduce cooling; * Receive rainwater and reduce the runoff of water from rain; * Reduce carbon dioxide out of the air; * Reduce pollutants and heavy metals out of rainwater; * Help to insulate a building for sound; * Help to reduce the temperature around the building and the heat islands.
