Without an enormous quantity of energy supply the city would stop at all, everything here is possible first because of energy, water supply, subway system, public illumination, health system, schools, Internet, business market, commerce, hotels, house appliances, jacuzzis, nightclubs, public security, constructions, cars, urban infrastructure. To make Rio more reliable, sustainable and increase the quality of life here, we should have more ways of saving, reusing and sources of energy. In what concerns to most urgent and obvious uses of energy the solutions that follow are not surprising but pretty usefull: 1- Since Rio is a city with tropical whether and most of the days are sunny, solar energy is a good alternative to more energy self-reliant buildings that effects directly the dependency of public provided energy. 2- Developing technologies that transform energy made by every day movements in electric energy could also supply our homes, offices or light poles.
