With a total route length of 128.6 km, Singapore's train system is a vital component of the transport infrastructure. As of July 2014 the average car occupancy was 64.7 passengers per car. As of 2014 710.8 million passengers have used the SMRT system. (info from: http://www.smrt.com.sg/Media/Information-Kit#trainstats) The train system is one of the main ways Singaporeans travel around the island state. It is relatively cheap, and easy to access. My family and I don't need a car, as the transport system here is one of the best in the world. In Australia we had 2 cars. Here none. [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14331651663187436.jpg
