This is a picture of Bargi Dam in Jabalpur City, India. (Taken in August'12; Just after raining season) Bargi Dam is one of the major dam constructed in central India. It is built on river ‘Narmada’, the only river in India flowing towards west. The river is called to be the lifeline of central state of India. There are two major irrigation projects developed by Bargi Dam with total potential to 4,370 sq. km. The hydropower generation capacity is this dam is 90 MW.
