With its 8 cooling towers and enormous chimneys, reaching 200 meters height, the station plays an strategical role into UK's domestic energy supply, generating 2,000 MW for the country. Although its crucial for the country to cope with its energetic demand, the industry faces several critics from environmentalists and the general population for being a considerable emitting source of CO2 gas and also for polluting the landscape of the area with these high concrete structures. Therefore, to solve these problems, new sustainable ways to generate and transport energy through have to be deployed in the cities of the Future.
