![enter image description here][2] ![enter image description here][3] ![enter image description here][4] These pictures are taken (by me) last weekend I spent with my family discovering Melaka, Malaysia. First two pictures show a suburban area where waterways & power grid infrastructures are aerially combined and create wide open lined spaces that define regional landscape. Wide waterways are needed to cope with the heavy rainfalls occurring in this part of the world. Third pictures shows impact and use of large waterways in city centre of Melaka, where nice terraces and buildings have been built over the years along the river. Last picture shows a needed structure for energy grid crossing the river - to me it shows the lack of space (or funding) available for other solutions above/under ground or integrated in bridge structure.
