Location: Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Taken by: Nebras Salheb (me) Date: 20-05-2015 The Maastunnel is a tunnel in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, connecting the banks of the Nieuwe Maas. About 75,000 motor vehicles and a large number cyclists and pedestrians use the tunnel daily, making the Maastunnel an important part of Rotterdam's road network. In the photo it can be seen bikes only part of the tunnel. It can be seen in the photo our dependency on two types of infrastructure: - Streets and tunnels to cross rivers such as the Nieuwe Maas, and it can be seen that if we provide the possibility such a huge river can be crossed not only by cars, but also by bikes. - Electricity is highly needed in such a closed long space in order to provide lightning, Ventilation and accessibility. ![enter image description here][1] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14323895121873985.jpg
