I am participating in this task through looking at the infrastructure associated with waste management in the city. Waste management is not an infrastructural component on itself. but the process requires established elements that is existing as parts of the infrastructure in the city. These elements are the bins. and although they are considered portables. They still have big impact on the city. This photo was taken in Liverpool, United Kingdom in one of the alleys near the city centre. The photo reveals the imposition of waste bins in the urban context. It is visible that there is dependency on the use of waste bins with no consideration for the pedestrian pavements or visual noise. This shows a gap in the design of the urban system.
