Osoyoos is the only desert in all of Canada, being a dry arid environment, and so due to such conditions, this lake is a very convenient source of water and life for those who live in this area. The transportation of water into homes and buildings allows the establishment of a city and so The lake being the centrepiece of this city, without it, this city could not exist and thus is a crucial dimension for this cities sustainability.
