1. Infrastructure 2. Safety 3. Housing 4. Recreation 5. Environment Q2. Why do I live where I live: 1. Safety. In comparison with the rest of the country Ags keeps a low criminal rate, it’s possible to make a night promenade in the city, specially in downtown, which usually in Latin American cities tend to be dangerous at night, but that’s not the case in the city I live in. 2. Low Prices. Cost of life is quite low. Housing, transportation, foodstuff, recreation keeps low prices, affordable for citizenship. This point is important if we consider Mexico minimum wage is devalued. 3. Small city and low population index. Aguascalientes capital population is just 750,000 people, which does not demand a large city, because of this, besides to good urban practices, makes the city not to enlarge in an uncontrolled way. This have a positive effect on the territory and citizenship, as moderate-exploitation of resources, shorter transport periods, lower expenses infrastructure, less car use. 4. Steady economy. Aguascalientes by this time is located in a good position regarding to economic development. This consequently creates job opportunities. The city has recently become established as an Industrial City, where National and International companies have settled. 5. National Connectivity. Aguascalientes is located in the center country, passing point when going from North to South side country. Therefore national connectivity is quite good. As it’s possible to move in any direction easily from this point. Besides city is out of earthquake zone, hurricanes and other natural disasters. Q3. Livability Criteria Fullfilling: 1. Economy 80/100 2. Housing 90/100 3. Health Care 70/100 4. Safety 80/100 5. Environment 60/100 General rate 76/100 Q4. What would I change: First measure I would take to improve livability is regarding to Environment, as It’s one of the most important points I consider for livability and have realised about a deeply indifference from part of Government and citizens. It’s necessary to implement politics aimed to sustainability and vision to future. I would definitely try to decentralize services from the capital and distribute to the rest of surrounding towns in district. By this way I would hope to stop urban spreading in a specific area and give life to economically forgotten and undeveloped surrounding towns. Small and developed cities self-sufficient in the middle of rural context. Of course it would be also necessary efficient transportation system to guarantee suitable connection of urban cells. Q5. Why do I move: 1. Guadalajara, Mexico: 1.1. Infrastructure 1.2. Dynamic City 1.3. Recreation 1.4. Wooded City 1.5. Climate 2. Kyoto, Japan 2.1. Environment (Nature in touch with the city) 2.2.
