The reasons why I live there : 1. Economy factor, I work in Jakarta because it easier to find better opportunities 2. Near to activities centre, such as office buildings, shopping centre, and entertainment area 3. Accessible and easy to reach public transportation To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria? 1. Environment : 60/100 2. Transportation : 55/100 3. Economy : 65/100 4. Infrastructure : 65/100 5. Safety : 60/100 General livability score of Jakarta 60/100 What would you change? If I were a mayor, I would change the regulation of transportation because I think the primary problem of Jakarta is transportation. As the increasing number of the density of people in urban area, Jakarta is facing the problem of transportation. Infrastructure transportation is compounded by its ever-increasing number of car owners, as more and more are forced to commute to and from to suburban sprawl surrounding the big city. This condition results in traffic jams and road scarce. With the enormous number of motor vehicles, the production of pollution also increases. Those problems in Jakarta bring impacts to the quality of life, such as health, happiness index and welfare. I will change the regulation of vehicle ownership, particularly car ownership. For every person who wants to own a car, must have enough garages to put their car. Besides that, I will apply high vehicle taxes and registration fee divided by small, medium and luxury categories. In line with the regulatory process, I will improve the transportation system. The development of Mass Rapid Transport (MRT) which is integrated with bus stop should be done as soon as possible. With convenient, affordable and on time public transportation, people are tend to use it than private transportation. In addition, I will also build more open space such as public parks to decrease the effect of pollution. ![enter image description here][2] Why do we move? 1. Melbourne, Australia 2.
