Why do we live where we live?** ![Panecillo - Center of Quito][1] ![Tumbaco - Fuente: www.anunciosecuador.com][2] **Environment:** Tumbaco is a Valley with a very comfortable climate, I love waking up and hearing birds singing, watching the moon and stars while walking home at night. **Tranquility:** Being around nature, trees, animals, etc means calmness, relax, no traffic, no noise of the city; means being in contact with what I have around me. ![Swing on the way home ][3] **Family:** Most of my family live around, so its easy to keep in touch and share time together. **Recreation:** My neighborhood is near The Chaquiñan route, which goes from the beginning to the end of the Valley, around the urban places, brooks and mountains. Here you can do biking, running, just walk, visit a natural reserve, or maybe just sit and watch. ![Chaquiñan Route - El Chiche][4] **Hometown:** Since I have memory, I've leaved in the same neighborhood and as a matter of fact lots, of memories and stories come along with every place around. ![Puembo ][5] **3. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria?** Environment 70% Job opportunities 40% Transportation 40% Health care 60% Education 60% Livability score for the city: 60 **4. What would you change?** I'd absolutly improve transportation and mobility, in terms of connections between Tumbaco and the metropolitan district of Quito. I will control housing growth and, improve cultural and recreation activities of the zone, to promote Tumbaco as a central part or the entire city. **5.
